It is important to note that 2019 saw a rise in median sales prices for luxury Galt Ocean Mile condos with a median sales price of $1,290,000 – this being for a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom unit.

Looking at Galt Ocean Mile condos for sale we can see that the median prices for Galt Ocean Mile condos are now back up to their 2006 levels – still a little down from 2007 – but a very positive trend indeed!

Galt Ocean Condo Designs
Befitting the times – developers engaged their architects to create condominiums that were elegant, unique and that offered the very latest in amenities.
Initially a modest proliferation of small hotels and beach clubs lined the Galt.
The First Condo built and then offered for sale on Galt Ocean Mile was the Edge Water Arms which was built in 1957.
The ownership form here was a cooperative vs. condominium. Most of the other buildings on Galt Ocean Mile Fort Lauderdale are a condominium form of ownership
The Edgewater Arms followed in 1959, and so successful were these condo sales that Coral Ridge Properties, Inc. hired Architect Richard C. Reilly to build and offer for sale more condos thus creating a model high-end condo community in Fort Lauderdale to rival that of Bal Harbour.
Based on the sales success of Egdewater Arms, The Ocean Riviera, The Regency Tower and Regency South Condo were successively built and then offered for sale.
Despite minor variations, the design simplicity of these “three sisters” created upscale luxury condos for sale, condos with large thick-walled rooms, efficient plumbing and electric systems. These condos also strove for optimal utilization of deck, parking and garage space.
Today, these design gems are some of the Galt Mile’s best and most classic condos on offer for sale in Fort Lauderdale.
Built in 1974 & 1975 and located in the middle of Galt Ocean Drive, two more sister condos were developed and quickly offered for sale.
Playa Del Mar and her “sister” to Playa Del Sol. Playa Del Mar consists of 370 one, two and three bedroom condos – of which 13 condos are currently on offer for sale with prices ranging between $200,000 – $500,000.
Galt Miles Ideal Location
Nested on Fort Lauderdale’s barrier island, residents are within minutes of fabled Las Olas Boulevard, the Galleria Mall, Riverwalk and numerous diversions offered by the “Venice of America”.

Residents of the Ocean Riviera’s 203 units hale from across the country and all points of the globe. It’s exciting blend of personalities and cultures provides for a stimulating and fascinating environment. The Ocean Riviera “family” consists of weekenders (snowflakes), seasonal visitors (snowbirds) and full time year-round residents
Traveling residents and visitors face a twenty minute commute to the Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport and the Port Everglades cruise ship docks.
